HOW DOES YOUR CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS WORK?

HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY FOR CUSTOM WEDDING INVITATIONS?
As each custom project is just as unique as the wedding it will announce, we do quote on a job by job basis, so please get in touch and have a chat about what you’re after. We can then provide an estimate and work with you to adjust your selections until we reach a price point that suits your budget.

HOW LONG DO CUSTOM INVITATIONS TAKE?
For custom designs we usually allow 6 to 8 weeks. Around 4 weeks for your invitations to be briefed, designed and approved plus another 2 weeks from the approval date for them to be printed and delivered to your door step. If you are in a rush, please let us know and we can see what we can do. 

I FOUND THIS INVITATION I REALLY LIKE, CAN YOU CREATE MINE EXACTLY THE SAME?
No, we do not simply copy other people’s designs, so please don’t ask us to. Examples of what you like are great to steer us in the right direction, but we’ll use them purely for inspiration and design something completely original for you.

DO YOU DESIGN STATIONERY FOR OTHER EVENTS?
Yes! We love a good party just as much as we love paper so we will happily take any opportunity to combine the two by creating custom stationery for any celebration. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, baptism, engagement, shower or tea, we will create something that will help set the tone and make your event that extra bit special.

CAN I PLEASE GET A SAMPLE OF THE STATIONERY SUITE I AM INTERESTED IN USING?
Yes, we sell sample packs for $10.00 plus postage and handling via our shop. The cost of all samples purchased is deducted from your total when an order is placed. Please note, samples are not customised with your details.

CAN I PLEASE GET A SAMPLE WITH MY WEDDING DETAILS ON IT?
Samples do not come customised with your details, to produce a one off sample is costly, therefore you will receive the sample exactly as it appears in the gallery.

I DON’T WANT TO ORDER A SAMPLE PACK, I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW SOME PRICES PLEASE

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY INVITATIONS?
The whole process generally takes about 3-4 weeks, including printing. This of course depends on the response times from both parties. 

I LOVE ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS BUT I WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE COLOURS TO SUIT MY WEDDING BETTER. CAN I? 
If the design allows for it, then of course you can change the colours. Simply send us a reference image or swatch for your colour palette and we’ll do our best to match it. If your colour changes require a lot of work, there may be an additional cost incurred. If so we will email an estimate for you to approve before proceeding.

CAN I CHANGE THE FONTS TOO?
We love typography and the fonts we have chosen are what we feel work best within the design of our stationery, so we are hesitant to change them. However, if there’s a font you have your heart set on, let us know and we will see if it works. If your font changes require a lot of work, there may be an additional cost incurred. If so we will email an estimate for you to approve before proceeding.

CAN I CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COLOURED ENVELOPE?
Yes, of course. If you don’t like the envelopes we have paired with our stationery suites, you may request a different colour and we will see what we can source for you.

WHAT IF I NEED A QUANTITY LESS THAN 50?
We are happy to work with any quantity, no job is too small. Though, keep in mind that small quantities carry a decidedly higher unit price than larger orders so it may not work out as cost effective.

CAN I LETTERPRESS / FOIL ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS?
We LOVE specialty printing techniques and love seeing our designs come to life in new and exciting ways, so yes please contact us and we will happily quote this for you.

I LOVE ONE OF YOUR DESIGNS BUT WANT TO USE IT FOR A BIRTHDAY / ENGAGEMENT / ANNIVERSARY INVITATION, CAN I DO THIS?
Absolutely! The same process and pricing applies.

CAN YOU CREATE OTHER STATIONERY ITEMS IN MY CHOSEN DESIGN?
Of course! Our samples show only the most essential items of a stationery suite. We can create many other coordinating stationery items for our Collection designs. Finish off your stationery suite with a matching belly band or envelope liner and don't forget your 'day of' stationery - programs or order of service booklets, paddle fans, place cards, table numbers, menus, favour tags, thank you cards, etc. Our pricing guide lists prices for common stationery requests, but we can create anything you like!

I CAN’T FIND ANYTHING I LOVE, CAN YOU CREATE ME SOMETHING COMPLETELY UNIQUE?
Yes! We love custom projects. Please see above.

 
 

GENERAL

HOW MANY INVITATIONS SHOULD I ORDER?
The number of invitations you need won’t be the same as the number of guests you have as you only need to send one invitation per household or couple. As a general rule though, always order 10-15% more than your required quantity. Guest lists have away of creeping up at the last minute and the cost of ordering more as part of your initial order is far less than the cost of ordering a small number at a later date, especially if you’re using specialty printing techniques. 

I NEED HELP WITH WORDING / ETIQUETTE, DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Of course! The way you deliver your message is so important when it comes to setting the tone for your wedding. Traditional, unusual or somewhere in between, we’re more than happy to work with you to help write your invitation wording and match it to the style of wedding you wish to announce. 

CAN YOU PERSONALISE MY INVITATIONS WITH MY GUESTS’ NAMES?
Yes, we can personalise any item of stationery granted that it is being printed digitally. This may incur an additional cost and we will need you to supply us with a spreadsheet containing the names of your guests exactly as you would like them to appear so we can merge them in. 

WILL YOU PROOFREAD MY WORDING FOR ME?
We will happily point out anything we think may be incorrect, but no one knows the details of your wedding or how to spell your fiancés name more intimately than you do, so it’s your responsibility to make sure everything is correct. We ask that you check, double check, then check again. Then get your fiancé/mum/friend/neighbour to check. We take no responsibility for errors found once you have approved your artwork. 

CAN I PRINT MY INVITATIONS MYSELF?
No, we do not offer digital files for DIY printing. We want to ensure that you are receiving high quality products and the only way we can do that is to have full control over their production. The digital files we create are not included in your order and are not available for purchase. All design and artwork remains copyright of Love Carli.

THE COLOURS I SEE ON SCREEN LOOK DIFFERENT WHEN THEY ARE PRINTED OUT?
Screens (RGB) display colour differently to printers (CMYK) so there will always be a discrepancy between what you see on your screen and what you print out at home or what you get back from the printer. Different paper stocks can also affect colours and different print runs can differ slightly too. It’s all very complicated but we will always do our best to colour match. If a specific match is required, please provide us with a PMS number. A pre-press hard copy proof can also be arranged for an additional fee, though please be aware this will add to the production timelines. 

I NEED MY INVITATIONS YESTERDAY. DO YOU OFFER RUSH ORDERS?
If you are in a hurry, simply get in touch and we will see what we can do for you. Depending on our workload at the time there may be a surcharge of up to 10% to place your order ahead of others in the queue.

DO MY INVITATIONS COME ASSEMBLED?
We find most couples love to do this part themselves, so we don’t assemble your invitations. Instead we ship them flat with each element grouped together. This protects the stationery and is more cost effective to post. If you would like us to assemble your invitations for you, we can do so for an additional cost. 

HOW ARE MY INVITATIONS DELIVERED AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? 
Your invitations are wrapped nicely and sent with love via Australia Post. We insure them for peace of mind and provide a tracking number so you can track them all the way to the safety of your house. Your postage and handling cost will depend on the size of your order and your postcode. We will quote accordingly and the cost will appear on your final invoice. If you live in the Melbourne area, pick up can also be arranged. 

UNFORTUNATELY I NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER, DO I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK?
We’re sorry you need to cancel your order. The refund of your deposit will depend on what stage your order is at. If we have not begun work on your invitations, then the deposit will be refunded in full. If we have begun the design process, your deposit will be forfeited to reflect the time already spent. If the job is already at the printers or has been completed, cancellation is not an option and full payment is required. 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Due to the custom nature of your stationery, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
